Brrr

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share using the Winter Cottage collection.  We live on the east coast of Canada so I always have plenty of winter photos to scrap.  I love that this collection is both Christmas and winter themed!

I snapped this photo of my daughter at the Christmas parade a few years back.  It was a very cold night so the Brrr title was perfect!

I added some paper layers behind my photo and a bunch of bits and pieces of embellishments to this simple layout.

I love the decorative brads, did you know that they are self adhesive?  No need to punch any holes!

Nativity

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new project to share for Echo Park using the Silent Night collection.  I instantly knew I wanted to make a nativity when I saw this collection.  At first I was going to make cards with a nativity scene but I found this adorable nativity cut file in the Silhouette store.  Perfect for my project!

I glued all my stickers to cardstock before adding them in the nativity, just to make them a bit sturdier.  I'm going to add some straw to this when I can find some.

I loved this quote so I added it to the back, it also matched perfectly with the blue background.

Festive Cards

Hey everyone, I'm here today with  some festive Christmas cards for Echo Park using the Dear Santa collection.  This collection is my favorite this year!  It's just so festive with all these Santa's and bright colors!

I'm not much of a cardmaker, I usually stick to payouts, but these cards came together so easily!  I used the same layout for all of them.

Once I had the bases done and stitched, I just needed to add a few embellishments. I started by picking out my favorites die cuts.

Finally I added some stickers and enamel dots.  This one is my favorite.  I love the Christmas ball on the reindeer's antlers!

Be Merry

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Simple Stories using the Jingle All The Way collection.   This collection is full of all the traditional holiday colors and images!  So very pretty!

I love to work with pattern paper.  Fussy cutting is my favorite technique.  I very rarely throw out paper scraps, there is always something I can fussy cut on it!  I fussy cut a bunch of flowers and leaves on this layout.  I added them to my edges and tucked some under the papers.

I don't usually journal much on my layouts because I don't like my handwriting, so these word and phrase stickers are perfect!

I finished it off by adding some stitching and decorative brads.  I really like how this simple layout turned out.  Traditional and festive!

Christmas Tags

Hey everyone, I'm here today with  a fun new Christmas project for Echo Park using the Hello CHristmas collection from Carta Bella Paper.  These sweet little tags are going to be perfect to add to my gifts this year.   And as an added bonus, they were quick and easy to make!

I started off by cutting the tags from the Christmas Tags 12x12 paper. This paper has 40 tags on it!!  You can pick and choose which ones you like best...or use them all!  I then added some small embellishments to the tags.  I used chipboard pieces, stickers, puffy stickers and enamel dots.

To finish them off, I punched a hole and added a piece of twine. These are the perfect way to add a personal touch to your gifts without taking hours to complete a project!

Here's a fun little video I made :)

Hello Santa

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Simple Stories using the Simple Vintage North Pole collection.  This is THE collection to get this year!  I mean, red, lime green and teal...yes yes yes!!!

I had this sweet photo of my son with Santa, it kinda had a vintage feel and was perfect for this collection.  I mean really, look at how Santa is holding him....so cute!

My title is a Simple Stories cut file from the Silhouette store.  I cut it twice and layered it to make it pop.

My favorite thing about this whole collection was this little envelope!  How cute is this?  I just had to find a spot for it on my layout!

I hope you get a chance to craft with this beautiful collection!

Santa Cabin

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new project using the A Lumberjack Christmas collection.  As soon as I saw this collection I knew what I wanted to make with it.  A Santa cabin!!!  I'm so happy with how this project turned out.  It may be the cutest thing I've ever made!

I used a cut file from the Silhouette Store.  The woodgrain paper was perfect for my cabin!  I added a bright red roof to make it festive!  I also tucked in some tissue paper in the chimney to make it look like smoke.

I made a wreath for the front door using just stickers from this collection.   It is so sweet!

This little Santa was my inspiration for this project!  I love how it looks like he's decorating his house!

A little Christmas tree and some gifts for the back of the cabin.

Christmas card trio

Hey everyone, I'm here today sharing some festive cards using the Farmhouse Christmas collection from Carta Bella.  I wanted to make some Cards but I didn't want to spend hours making them.  Thankfully with the Echo Park dies these cards were quick and turned out really pretty!

I decided to do 3 same cards but I used different colors for each one.  One I had all the pieces cut in my Big Shot, they just needed to be assembled.

I embellished each card with a few puffy stickers and enamel dots.

I also added some stitching around the edge with my sewing machine.  These cards took me about an hour to make.  SImple and elegant!

Always

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Simple Stories using the Simple Vintage Ancestry collection.  I was so happy when I saw this collection revealed.  It is absolutely gorgeous and I had the perfect photos of my grandparents on their 60th wedding anniversary.

I added a lot of layers on this layout.  Stickers, ephemera, chipboard, brads...I used all the things!  I also used a lot of 3D foam squares so everything wouldn't be flat.

The foam stickers are so much fun to use and make the perfect title pieces.  I also like to add some loose threads on my layouts, just to add a bit of texture.

There are so many great stickers in this collection.  The one I used on the bottom of my layout was so awesome, I only added a couple of little extras to it.

I love a collection that has so many beautiful embellishments!  This layout took no time to make...well after I finally decided which embellishments to use!

Girl Wonder

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share using the America collection and Designer Dies!  Did you know that there are dies released with almost every new collection?   In addition to those, Echo Park has other dies that will coordinate with all your projects!

I often hear people say "I don't buy dies because I'm not a cardmaker".  What???  Who says dies are just for cards?  You can use them on literally any type of paper project!

I used 2 sets of dies on my layout.  The first set I used is the Mckell Uppercase Alphabet.  It was just what I needed to complete my title! (These also come in a lowercase as well)

The next set of dies I used is the Stitched Star Nesting Die Set.   I love love love this set!  I created the whole background of my layout with this.  I love how the stars layer into each other!

Since I used a 4th of July themed collection for my Halloween layout, all the embellishments weren't appropriate for my layout.  (Plus I'm Canadian...lol)  So I fussy cut some words from the papers.

So you see everything goes in the world of scrapbooking.  Dies for layouts, 4th of July papers for Halloween layouts....anything is possible!

That's my boy

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new  layout to sharefor Echo Park using the All boy collection.  This week I was asked to use an old Echo Park project as my inspiration.  I went way back on the blog and found this beauty by Ashley Horton!  Here is the link to the blog post.

I was inspired by the design, the squares and even the little clouds.  Here is what I came up with.

After I added my squares, I stitched them with my sewing machine.  I almost always stitch on my layouts, I just can't help it!

These little dinosaurs were just too cute, I just had to add them to my layout!  The colors in this collection were perfect for my photo!

I finished up my layout with little word stickers and these adorable puffy stars!

Easy Bake

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share using the Apron Strings collection.  This collection is soooo cute!  I seriously had a hard time choosing which papers to use!  It would also be a great collection to use for recipe cards or a cookbook!

I decided to use photos of my daughter playing with her easy bake oven.  I don't often use this many photos but I felt like they all needed to be there.  I kept the design pretty simple so it wouldn't be too busy.

The embellishments in this collection are the cutest ever!!  Just look at that little mixer and sugar bag!

I added some stitching on the strips of paper and around my layout just to add some more texture.
