Be the you you want to be

Hey everyone, I'm back today with a fun and bright LO for the Cut Shoppe.  I tend to shy away from bright colors but once in a while I dare to go bright and I always love my LO when I do.  It's always fun to step out of your comfort zone once in a while!

A few close ups of the files:

Here are the fun files I used on my LO:

Did you know that new files are added to the store every week?  Make sure to check back often!

Some new stuff!

I had some free time this weekend so I decided to participate in a few scrapbooking challenges.  The first was a challenge issued by a Paper Issues group member.  She challenged us to scraplift a LO from her inspiration pinterest board.

Here is the LO I lifted:

And here is my take on it:

Then I played with a challenge at My Scraps and More where we had to use the word passion in our LO.  I also used sketch 277 at Creative Scrappers!

Finally I also did a one hour challenge at Scrapbook Nerd.  I'm actually starting to enjoy these challenges!

Be happy today

I had so much fun this month at Scrapbook Nerd working with this gorgeous paper collection.  Here is a LO of my son (he actually cooperated for these photos).

Spread your wings

Hey everyone, today Creative Embellishments and Heartfelt Creations are doing a cross promo.  It was really fun to work with both of these companies, their products go really well together.  I got the idea for my LO in Pinterest from a LO by Beck Beattie.

Here are the Creative embellishments I used on my LO:  Chevron border, Chevron border background, Punchinella panel, and butterfly flair.  And the products used from Heartfelt Creations: Delicate asters paper collection, and crystal sparklets.

The Scrapbooker's Blog Tour

Hi everyone!!!
Blog hops are a lot of fun and they’re a great way to find inspiration! So when I was asked to be a part of the Scrapbooker’s Blog Tour, I was honored.
I was invited by Diana Poirier.  I’ve had the pleasure of working with Diana and her work is so beautiful!
Thank you Diana, for including me in this tour!
Here are a few questions we were asked to answer:
1. What am I working on right now?
Mostly DT work.  I am currently on 5 DT and it's keeping me pretty busy!  I design for Scrapbook Nerd, The Cut Shoppe, Creative Embellishments, My Scraps and More Sketches, and Epiphany crafts.

2. How long does it take me to create a project?
I'm a very slow scrapper but if I actually sit down without distractions it probably takes me about 2 hours to complete a LO.

3. What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?
Cut files!  My scrapbooking has grown so much since I purchased a Silhouette Cameo a year and a half ago.

4. How does my creating process work?
I usually start with a photo and then go on the hunt for the perfect paper.
5. How do I become inspired and stay inspired?
Pinterest and my fellow scrapbookers inspire me.
6. What is my signature style?
I like to use a white or neutral background, usually just one photo and lots of layering.

Now it’s time to tag three scrapbookers I love. It was really hard to choose, but the three ladies I chose each have their own unique style and are Canadian!! ;-)
I hope you will find them as inspiring as I do.

Happy hopping!

Tis the season

Hey everyone, today I have another Christmas card for Creative Embellishments!  This year I will be ready!

I used the chevron panel to create the tree trunk.  How cute is that???

I then used snowflakes to create the tree.  I painted them green and added bling to the middle!

Pumped up kicks

Hey everyone, today I have some fun new projects for Epiphany Crafts.  I really can't believe summer is already over and the kids have been in school for 2 weeks.  My son was excited this year because he started high school.  My daughter was excited for the same reason as most girls, to see her friends and to get new clothes!!!  Back to school is all about the new clothes right??

On this LO I used the Chevron tool (my favorite!!!), butterfly tool and small heart tool.
Here are a few close ups:

My next project is a little gift for my daughter and her best friend.  I made them some cute little BFF necklaces using the square tool and the metal square charms.

And finally I made this little easel using a cut file, banner tool, and the star tool.
