Beautiful day

Today I have a purple LO to share!!  Do you know how hard it is to find purple scrapbooking supplies??  LOL  I have so many photos of my daughter wearing purple!

I wanted to leave most of the chipboard raw to compliment the color of the sand.

I colored the other pieces purple with my trusty old sharpies!  Gotta love those sharpies!

Spa Night

Hey everyone, today I have a little tutorial using stencils and paint.  Scrapbook nerd gave me some beautiful Fancy Pants As you wish paper to work with this month.  I also got myself some awesome new Heidi Swapp mini stencils!  They come in a little package with 6 stencils!

Since I'm all about triangles lately, I decided to use this one.  Isn't it cute??

So this is what you'll need: gesso or paint, ink/mists, your stencil and something to spread with.  I like this palette knife set (and they are in the SN store).  If you don't have any, you can use anything flat like an old credit card.

What I did was put some gesso on a scrap piece of paper and added a few drops of mists to color it.  Then you can put your stencil on your LO and spread the paint on it.

And here is the finished LO!  I just added some journaling cards behind my photo, cut out some chevrons from the chevron paper, and added a few embellishments.

Movie night

Today I have  a fun LO I created for Creative Embellishments using the movie night chipboard set.  I've had these photos of my kids since 2009 and I hadn't scrapped them yet.  I'm glad I waited because this chipboard set was perfect for the photos!

I had so much fun creating this popcorn effect.  I used some snow puff (white paint that bubbles when heated) and then I inked it with some yellow distress paint!

I painted the rest of the chipboard with distress paint.

Enjoy the journey!

I was very excited to work with the Fancy Pants As You Wish Collection at Scrapbook Nerd this month but when I saw this pattern paper with the map on it, my first thoughts were what am I ever going to do with this!

Well I decided to be bold and use it as my background.  Very scary for me as I usually use a neutral or white background.  I really like how it turned out!  So go ahead and try something different on your LO next time you scrap.   What's the worse that could happen?
