Pure Happiness

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout for A Flair For Buttons to share using the Pinkfresh Joyful Day collection.  When I took out these photos, I wasn't sure what collection I would use because the blue/purple of my daughter's outfit was an usual color.  Then I saw that it matched perfectly with this collection!  Don't you love it when that happens!

I used a cut file designed by Ashley Horton for the Hip Kit Club.  After I backed some of the hearts with pattern paper, I wanted to add some embellishments on some of them. It was the perfect place to add some flair buttons!

This one is one of my favorites.  I've been holding on to it for a long time!

And another look at the cut file.

Oh Happy Day

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Pebbles using the Chasing Adventure collection. I wanted to share a view of what my happy life looks like in the summer. I am so lucky to have my camper set up in beautiful Prince Edward Island. If you've never been there make sure to put in on your bucket list, it is gorgeous!

I don't get to spend the whole summer there because my job gets in the way...lol. I do go every chance I get, and I enjoy every single minute!

I often tend to add a lot of stuff on my layouts. I'm kind of an embellishment junkie! But for this one I kept it simple. I cut out a whole bunch of hearts in different sizes on my cameo and layered them randomly on the side of my layout to create a border.

Then I added some simple journaling and a few embellishments.

I finished it off with a bit of stitching and some splatters.

In love with those baby teeth

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for The Cut Shoppe using the Love All Around cut file and the Horizon collection from Paige Evans/Pink Paislee.

My favorite thing about little kids are their little baby teeth!  They are just so cute.  I wish they would keep them longer!

I cut out the file on a pattern paper with lots of colors.  Then I stitched around the hearts with my sewing machine.

I love how colorful this layout turned out.  By cutting out my file with this fun paper, it made it a quick and easy LO!

Young Love

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Chasing Adventure collection. This week we're focusing on using your scraps to create projects. I find one of the best ways to do this is to take out my punches. For this layout, I used 2 heart punches.

For the outer circle, I layered 3 hearts and stitched them together. This gave my layout a lot of dimension.

I then added some more hearts on the inside. I didn't layer these because I wanted to be able to add a title and embellishments over them.

I also added a few circles of stitching under my hearts to tie them together. This also helped me place them into a nice circle.

I love how these hearts turned out!

So very lovely & sweet

Hey everyone, I'm here today sharing a new layout for Pretty Little Studio with the Shine Bright collection. I've been wanting to do a layout like this for a while now. It was a fun technique to try and quite simple to make.

I started off by cutting some squares out of pattern paper, I then cut then down into triangles. I arranged them on my LO and stuck them down.

I then stitched all the pieces into place with my sewing machine.

I love creating my own background. After that's done all you need are a few embellishments.

I really like how it turned out. The colors of this collection are sooo pretty!

It's the simple things

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new LO to share for The Cut Shoppe using the Tendy Trellis file.  This is one of my favorite cut files in the store.  It's so pretty and feminine.  It was perfect to use with the Indigo & Ivy collection from Pink Paislee.

Sometimes I find a cut file so pretty I just have to leave it untouched.  I didn't want to back the leaves because I really wanted them to stand out.  I just added a simple row of stitching on each stem.

This LO was very quick to make and I love how elegant it looks.

Celebrate Canada

Happy Canada Day everyone! Even though Pretty Little Studio doesn't have any patriotic collections, it was still very easy for me to do a patriotic themed LO. I pulled paper and embellishments from 5 collections. The main paper I used was actually from the Winter Joy collection. Then I added bits and pieces from Ain't Life Grand, It's Your Birthday, Beautiful Day, and Dream Big.

To create the background, I cut 2 pieces of 8x8 papers with my fringe scissors. I then stitched a strip across the top of each piece.

I wanted my LO to be monochromatic reds and pinks so I just added some of these colors and also some black. I love the way the black looks with the reds.
