Spring is in the air!

It's reveal time at Scrapbook Nerd and this month I got to play with some pretty spring colors with the new Simple Stories Fresh Air collection and some misc Echo Park papers.

Our snow is finally all gone and I'm so happy that the weather is staring to warm up.  I can just feel summer is right around the corner!

For my first LO, I created some dimension by layering random sized pennants on the bottom of my LO.  I can't believe how fast this girl is growing up!!

This month the nerds challenged us to do a LO about ourselves.  This is not something I do often.  I took this photo of myself the night before Crop and Create, I was a little bit excited! lol

Triangles are my new favorite trend!!

This LO was just a quick LO I did by layering random pieces of paper and fussy cutting some bits and pieces.

For my last LO I really wanted to find a way to use this beautiful paper as my background.  I kept it simple because I didn't want to hide too much of it.

I cut out and layered some flowers to add dimension.

It's a party!

Did someone say triangles??

Ok, so we all know triangles are really "in" right now.  This has to be my few favorite trend.  Well Creative Embellishments has these beautiful multi size triangles!  I just love them.

I added some random enamel dots on the triangles to make them stand out more.

This week's sketch at My Scraps and More was so easy to play with.  I created this LO in about a half hour just by layering some papers.  My daughter has such a love of life.  She is always up for anything.  I love this photo of her twirling in her dress.  To me this photo says "happy"!

Bday girl

The April challenge at Creative Embellishments is so much fun this month!  Check out this great photo inspiration:

Here is another challenge:  APRIL Challenge ..inspiration picture plus 4. Use only 4 items from the list of 10.

List:
Straws/rolled paper
trims- ribbon, lace, bakers twine or hemp
doodle
enamel dots or buttons
mist/paint
Texture paste, gesso
A handmade flower
embossing- dry or heat
Bling- Rhinestones or pearls
A flourish

On my LO I used Texture paste, enamel dots, baker's twine, and mist/paint.  This challenge was right up my alley!  Love the fun and bright photo inspiration!  I painted the chipboard circles and cut out matching pattern paper to put inside them.  This LO was all about circles, enamel dots, flair, the alphas and even the stencil I used was circles!   I was also inspired by the birthday theme of the photo challenge so I used a photo of my daughter's 9th Birthday.
