DIY Paper Succulents

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new  project to share for Echo Park using the Plant Lady collection.   This collection is so much more than just plants and gardening.  It has a gorgeous tropical feel and would be perfect for all your summer vacation photos!  I had been wanting to do some paper succulents for my sunroom for a while, this collection was just what I needed!

I choose 3 different papers for the pots.  All the papers in this collection coordinate together very well.  I could have used any of them.  This watercolor paper is my favorite!

I also used 3 different green papers for the plants, 2 pattern and one solid.  I wanted these to all be different from each other.

This little cactus is my favorite!  Look at the little flower on top!  How cute is that?  I also added some shredded pieces of pattern paper inside the pot to create some filling.

To finish them off I just added a simple tag on each.  They turned out really sweet and will be perfect in my sunroom!

Hip Hip Hooray

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Simple Stories using the Magical Birthday collection.  I love all the pretty and girly colors of this collection.  It was a perfect match for the little sock monkey on my photo!

I tore some strips of paper from the 6x8 pad to create my background.  I then added some messy stitching with coordinating thread.

My favorite thing about these new collections are the foam stickers!  They are perfect for a quick and easy title!

My daughter had a collection of sock monkeys when she was little.  She was so excited to get this birthday one!

I finished it off by adding some loose thread, enamel dots and little hearts.

Hush Little Baby

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Pebbles using the Peek A Boo You Girl collection and a cut file from Paige Evans. Our theme this week is monochromatic. I've always loved doing these types of layouts. I love how soft they look.

I used various shades of pink on my layout. I cut out the cut file in white to add some contrast.

The embellishments in this collection are so sweet. I just added a few so that it wouldn't be too busy with my background.

I can't believe this sweet girl is already 16, seems like yesterday she was this little.

Being Silly!

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for A Flair For Buttons.  I had lots of fun creating this one.  I used the Super Cool collection from Pinkfresh Studio and 5 flair buttons!!  Yes I said 5!

I'm not sure why but there's just something extra fun about creating boy layouts right?  I love adding lots of embellishments and flair buttons were a perfect fit on this one!

I might have even been able to squeeze a few more in!  lol

Family Time

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Echo Park using the Family Night collection.  When I first saw this collection I was so disappointed that I don't have any photos of my family playing board games.  But then when I really looked at this collection I realized it can be used for so much more!  It has movie nights, family dinners, music, friends and more!

I went with a movie night theme for my layout.  I have a lot of photos of family movie nights.  I miss when my kids were this little.  They were always together back then.  I made a simple triangle design and stitched the pieces together.

After I took out this photo, I realized how well this paper matched with it.  Seriously, it could have been made for this photo.

I added some chipboard and ephemera diagonally across my layout.  I had to hold myself back, there was a lot more I could have used!

Make your own rainbow

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Pretty Little Studio using the Color Me Happy collection. This collection is exactly what it's called. Colorful and happy!

I cut out the strips from the papers to create a rainbow like effect for my background. I added some simple stitching through them just to add a little more detail.

All I needed to add was a few embellishments to finish it. I love this photo of my daughter, it looks like she's looking up at the rainbow!

Kitchen Card

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new project to share for Pebbles using a variety of Jen Hadfield collections. I made this card for my mom using bits and pieces from 3 different collections (Chasing Adventure, Warm & Cozy, & Along the Way).

This was such a fun card to make. I used a cut file from Lori Whitlock. It turned out so cute, I gave it to my mom for Mother's Day!

I was inspired by all the pretty photos Jen posts on her Instagram account. I want that wallpaper in my house!

These little photo frames from the Along the Way collection were just perfect for this!

Sunny & Bright

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Cut To You with a Kit To You cut file. When I cut out this file, I had planned on doing a boy layout but it was so pretty with these papers my whole planned changed within minutes!

This was such a simple way to use a cut file. I just used the pattern paper as is and glued it to the back. I usually would have cut out every piece with different papers but I really like how the striped paper looked.

This cut file is very versatile. It could be used for any type of layout. I'm going to use it again for a Christmas layout!

This was a quick and easy way to use a cut file. I then just needed to add some embellishments!

Happy Birthday

Hey everyone, I'm back here today with a new layout to share for SImple Stories using the  Birthday Blast collection.  This collection has everything you would want from a birthday collection, the bright colors, the fun embellishments, quotes and saying...  It's a must have!

I rolled up some pattern paper to make some candles for my cake layout.  I then hand cut some flames and added them with pop dots.

I went a little crazy on the stitching for the first layer of my cake.  I think I tried all the different settings on my machine.  I like the fun look it created!

This layout is fun and bright.  A little busier than my usual but I love how happy it looks!

Love

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout for Pretty Little Studio using the Bohemian Dreams collection. We're celebrating Mother's Day this week and I know everyone thinks their mom is the best but mine truly is. For a long time it was just me and her so that made us pretty close. She's my mother but she's also like a sister and a friend.

I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and backed it with bright colors. I also added a simple row of stitching on each row of hearts.

I didn't add much to this layout because I really wanted the focus to be on my photo. Just a few pieces of ephemera and stickers.

I added a quick border and some threads and it was done!

Remember The Magic

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share for Echo Park using the Remember The Magic Collection.  What's the best thing about a Disney themed collection?  It never goes out of style.  Seriously!  We went to Disney in 2012 and this new collection is still perfect for my photos!

I used a cut file from Cut To You because for some reason stars seem to always go well with Disney photos.  I love the pops of black in this collection.  It just seems to anchor everything together.

I also added a bit of stitching on the cut file.  I just used colors that matched my papers for an added pop of color and dimension.

I them just needed to add a few embellishments to finish my layout!
