I'm a guest designer at Pebbles Inc!

Hey everyone, I'm so happy to be a guest designer at Pebbles this month!  I am such a big fan of Pebbles!!  Today I'm going to be sharing 2 layouts I've made with the Land That I Love collection.  I was so happy to be given this collection to work with.  Red, white and blue...yes please!!  For those of you who don't know me, I am Canadian.  You may be thinking how is a Canadian going to work with this collection...let me show you how versatile it is!

My first LO was inspired by the pretty flowers on the Patriotic Blossoms paper.  I knew as soon as I saw it that I needed to fussy cut those flowers.  So a few hours later (lol), I had the whole 12x12 paper fussy cut!  I didn't want to waste any of those flowers so they all went on my layout.

Here's a closer look at all the dimension those flowers added to my layout. I added some foam squares on some of them to make them pop more.

After all those flowers I really didn't need to do much more to my LO.  A title, journaling, some stitching, a few other embellishments and I was done.

My next layout took a bit more time to make.  Well, a lot more time.  I love the look of stitching on layouts but I don't have a sewing machine so I have to hand stitch.  It probably took me about 5 hours to stitch these circles but I'm so happy I did it!  I used a cut file from Paige Taylor Evans and backed the stars with pattern paper.  I love how this layout feels so happy and festive!  I modified the title from the thickers so it would say First of July instead of Fourth.

Here's a close up of the stitching.  I was up until 2:00am stitching this.  Once I started I didn't want to stop!  lol

These 3D stars were my absolute favorite thing in this collection.  I knew I had to add a few of them on my layout!

So now I've showed you how to use this collection on everyday layouts and even Canada Day layouts.  I hope I've inspired you to go out and get this collection!

Sweater Weather

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new LO to share using the Feels like Fall collection.  What first attracted me to this collection wasn't the fall elements but those beautiful blues.  I love it when I can find a collection with with pretty shades of blue!  This was a pretty simple LO.  I used a cut file from the silhouette store to create my background.

I didn't want to add too much to this LO.  I wanted the focus to stay on the photo.

Precious

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new LO to share.  This LO took me a while to finish.  I had decided to stitch the Doilies cut file in an ombre style.  After I was done I felt like it was missing something so I went back and cut out all those center pieces and added them.  I really love the effect it created.  I used the More Than Words collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I really didn't want to cover up all this work so I just kept the rest of the LO pretty simple.

Celebrate

Hey everyone, I'm back today with a new LO to share using the It's Your Birthday collection.  I can't even tell you how much fun this collection is!  The colors, the bits and pieces, the fun designs...there is so much to love.  I also used a cut file from Paper Issues.

This photo of my daughter on her birthday is just one of those perfect moments caught on camera.  I just love her expression.

I wanted to do a million of those balloons!

Boys Rule

Hey everyone, I'm back today with a new LO to share.  I sometimes find it's harder to find boyish embellishments.  It seems like there is so much more for girls out there.  However A Flair for Buttons has tons of boy/man themed flairs.  Seriously, take a look, there are so many to choose from.  I had such a hard time choosing which ones to use on my LO, I ended up using 3!

I love using ampersands on LO's.  I'm not sure why I love them so much...I just find them pretty!  LOL

Hashtags are also one of my favorite things to add to my LO's.  I used 2 onthis LO!

Chill out

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new LO to share using the Ain't Life Grand collection.  I just love a collection with different shades of blue!  Perfect for those boy LO's!

I used a cut file from Paige Evans and backed it randomly with pattern papers.  These little tags are adorable!

Flair is always my favorite embellishment on all my LO's!

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new LO to share.  I made this LO when I was away at a weekend crop with some friends.  It seems like stitching is my new thing.  lol  I used the Pick Me Up collection from Paige Taylor Evans and also one of her cut files.

Happy Moments

Hey everyone, I'm back today with a new LO to share with the Leaf Circle file. This was just one of these LO's that came together really fast.  I just backed the files with pattern paper and then I cut it into 2 pieces just to make it more interesting.  I used mostly Maggie Holmes paper and embellishments.

I really love cutting my files in white cardstock.  It just make it bright and fresh.

I love you forever

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new LO to share with the XOXO collection.   This LO was inspired by my talented friend Aurelie Cormier.   I love the look of stitching on layouts but I don't have a sewing machine.  Hand stitching seemed like such a big job but with a little encouragement from Aurelie I've learned to really enjoy it!

This LO is just a simple grid design.  The "for always" paper was just perfect with all those little squares!

This LO really didn't need much more after the stitching was done.  Just a few little die cuts and a title.

How cute are those little photos?
